The pieces of my UX puzzle
From day one, my passion has always been to help people improve their quality of life. Throughout college and my early career, I explored many fields, and this is the thread that ties them all together.
I fell in love with collecting and crafting experiences while traveling the country and working in the restaurant industry as a bartender. I “interviewed” customers from all walks of life daily and listened to their stories. Although each one was unique, I began to recognize patterns and themes that informed how I would respond. It was my goal to shape lasting, enjoyable, and personal experiences for people based on what I learned.
While studying holistic health and yoga, I learned how to cultivate balanced wellbeing and mindfulness to support the pursuit of a healthy and fulfilling life. This led to a role at an art center, where I explored ways to help people discover wellness through creating and self-expression.
These experiences solidified empathy and compassion as two of the skills that have become a foundation of my working style.
As my passion for creating experiences shifted into the digital space, I began creating websites to help businesses reach their goals while keeping the experience of the user at the forefront. This allowed me to flex my creativity, branding, and design skills to solve problems in a new way.
This brings me to today, where I am curiously exploring how design intersects with human wellbeing, along with how to improve our interactions and relationship with technology.
